Student Government Association (SGA)

All current college students are members of the SGA. Officers and Senators are delegates for the best interest of the students.

The SGA membership consists of representation from each program area and recognized school organizations. Senators are chosen within the first two weeks of the Fall Semester. Senators and officers must be full-time students and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

The goal of the SGA is to make College of the Ouachitas a welcoming environment and an enjoyable college experience by:

  • Providing opportunities for the community and college to interact
  • Awarding college scholarships
  • Providing student activities
  • Acting as an umbrella to all student organizations
