College of the Ouachitas Institutional Scholarships

College of the Ouachitas Honors College Scholarship

  1. Be admitted to Honors College, COTO.  HonorsCollege [at] coto.edu
  2. Be enrolled in a program that leads to an associate degree.
  3. Successfully complete 27 semester hours per academic year (Fall term through Summer terms). Classes in which an “F, AU, W, or I” is received will not count towards these hours. Repeated courses will not be counted in completed hours. Students may use summer terms to complete the required hours or GPA but the scholarship does not pay for summer terms.
  4. Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and meet all other requirements for continuing membership in Honors College, COTO.

College of the Ouachitas Merit Scholarship

  1. Graduating high school seniors with an ACT score of nineteen (19) and above in all areas and rank in the top 20% of their graduating class may apply for this full tuition scholarship that is renewable up to two years.
  2. Be enrolled in a program that leads to a certificate or associate degree.
  3. Successfully complete 27 semester hours per academic year (Fall term through Summer terms). Classes in which an “F, AU, W, or I” is received will not count towards these hours. Repeated courses will not be counted in completed hours. Students may use summer terms to complete the required hours or GPA but the scholarship does not pay for summer terms.
  4. Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Developmental course will be counted in the grade point average.

College of the Ouachitas Non-traditional Scholarship

  1. Scholarships are available to recent GED graduates with an Honors Score of 170 or above on at least two of the four sections of the GED test.
  2. Be enrolled in a program that leads to a certificate or associate degree.
  3. Successfully complete 27 semester hours per academic year (Fall term through Summer terms). Classes in which an “F, AU, W, or I” is received will not count towards these hours. Repeated courses will not be counted in completed hours. Students may use summer terms to complete the required hours or GPA but the scholarship does not pay for summer terms.
  4. Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.7.  Developmental course will be counted in the grade point average.
