JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:         Adult Education Paraprofessional – Office Manager    Full-time

Position Location:   This position is located in Arkadelphia.

General Description:

Performs some office or clerical duties that are moderately complex.  Follows set procedures and may exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions.  Supports instructional staff in completion of their duties. 
 
Areas of Responsibility and Associated Duties:
Receptionist:
  1. Answers and distributes incoming calls and messages.
  2. Meets and greets visitors and students as they enter the center and provides accurate information to the public.
 
Intake person:
  1. Complete intake form and check identification of prospective student.  Covers orientation with new students by telling them what to expect.
  2. Assess student educational levels using the TABE Locator and proper TABE form as documented and administer TABE according to publisher’s guidelines
 
Record Keeping and Reports:
  1. Maintain student files – past and present
  2. Enroll students in database AERIS as needed
  3. Post student attendance in AERIS
  4. Complete records and reports as requested by Director
 
Clerical Responsibilities:
  1. Answer phones
  2. Assists full-time para professional in filing student records and correspondence.
  3. Process incoming and outgoing mail
  4. Make copies for the classrooms
 
Other duties as assigned
  1. Perform office manager duties of assigning shifts to office personnel
 
Reports to:
The Director of the Adult Education program.
